A new replacement dwelling following the demolition of an existing detached 1950's two-storey chalet-style property. A contemporary approach to the design of the new dwelling was required to maximize the internal spaces due to planning height restrictions. The new dwelling is finished in a palette of high-quality materials appropriate and sympathetic to the character and setting of the site. The use of stone, natural render and zinc cladding compliment the overall contemporary design and with zinc monopitch roofs of varying angles to the first floor reduce its overall mass and bulk.
